Chanticleer 2007 Sangiovese Released

We are pleased to announce the release of our 2007 Sangiovese. The popularity of this wine with our clients resulted in a large number of pre release orders. Coupled with the small production of only 400 cases we are left with a very limited offering at this time. We feel this is our best Sangiovese vintage yet and it is sure to sell out in a fairly short time so if you are interested in getting some we urge you to order soon.
2007 was an excellent year for growing Sangiovese which allowed for full flavor development and berry maturity. The result is a wine with characteristic dusty cherry/allspice notes in the nose, along with aromatic toasty oak and mineral notes. The mouthfeel is lush and rich, with an elegance that befits Sangiovese and the structure of additional blending wine. The 13% Cabernet blended in with this wine adds balance and body. Although this will age upwards of ten years, it is approachable now and we suggest you enjoy it over the next few years in the true Italian tradition.
