The 2013 Riserva is a delicious blend that combines the best of the aromatic and medium-bodied Sangiovese with the brawny and full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. The Sangiovese adds fruit and makes it approachable and the Cabernet adds body which makes the wine even more age-worthy. It is densely hued and full of ripe blackberry and red cherry on the palate and maple and sandalwood on the nose. It pairs well with heavier meals such as Rack of Lamb, Steak and Pasta dishes.
